Polar Fleece Day 6 – April 22, 2013, 9:20 PM (Pacific Time) – Fran Current Location: 18 14.061 N, 112 04.962 W Temperature: Indoor 78F, Outdoor 74F So there’s one thing I never expected to need on this passage….polar fleece. And, yet, here I am, bundled up in fleece snuggled into the cockpit under a blanket! No, I’m not complaining, it’s just a surprise. All is well and it’s great to be out sailing again. The time we spent at the island was terrific. We saw a manta ray, swimming/flying at the surface, a momma and baby whale, and another whale flopping in the water – Richard was able to see that one on the radar – pretty cool. More later. Post navigation Still here…Gybe Talkin’ One Comment I guess you are on your way again? Polar fleece at 74 degrees? I know we get spoiled when it’s 80 and dry! Love your stories! I watched three Albatross couples mate/spar a few days ago, one of them had a young chick, just off our golf course. Cool! Bon voyage, Maria
