Settling in to Italy

After a nice long sleep, we did a bit of exploring and provisioning. We enjoyed espresso…. because, when in Italy….
Last nights dinner was antipasti at a local restaurant, where I tried my Italian (ha!), fortunately the server speaks better English than I speak Italian.

The Airbnb is in a sweet neighborhood, of mostly quiet narrow, cobbled streets. The town is in a very narrow valley with sweeping cliffs that reach 3-4000’ higher than where we are. As much as we’re enjoying the vista, we do have some trepidation, after all, we’re going to be ascending to the top of those cliffs…

Donna arrived as scheduled and we had a WONDERFUL steak dinner with gelato for dessert. It’s now certain, this trip will be a gelato quest – searching out the BEST gelato in this part of Italy! (The northwest part of Italy).

More domani!

It’s a very good thing that we’ll be walking so far…

    1. The weather has been really nice, cool in the morning and warm in the afternoon. We’ve only had one day with rain, so far. It’s beautiful here!
