Bahia Santa Maria – Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

November 23, 2012: Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico (!)

Bahia Santa Maria –

So we spent the first day in Bahia Santa Maria projecting around the boat.  The next day, we went to a beach party.  There was live music, (one of the Ha-Ha’er’s took over the keyboard and did a FANTASTIC version of Santana’s “Europa” – as he was playing, he kept calling out the key change for the rest of the musicians – was really funny) local fish, rice and salad prepared by local fishermen and their wives.

It took a little over a day to get to Cabo San Lucas (Otherwise known as “Cabo and Gomorrah”) – we arrive in time for the event at “El Squid Roe“.  The Ha-Ha took over the place – we danced and drank and sang and had a really great time!

Another great beach party the next day – fully catered, where Miguel happily brought drinks regularly – and yes, they were 2 for the price of 1!   We enjoyed the shade, the people, the view – the afternoon.

The next day was the award ceremony – we got 3rd place in our division!  (OK, everyone but 1st, and 2nd, got 3rd place…..)  We were sorry the Ha-Ha was over, but glad to have been a part of it

Thanksgiving we spent at Lover’s Beach with some friends from the Ha-Ha, had a great time, and had a traditional dinner at one of the local restaurants.  (Fran’s traditional Turkey day dinner was a burger).

We’ve been in Cabo now for a couple of weeks (well, Fran has, Richard did some work travel back to the states) and tomorrow we head north to Bahia Los Frailes, then Puerto Vallarta.

We’re enjoying the sunshine, the cool breeze and the warm water.   Adiós for now.
