Here is where we are:

Latitude: 31 24′ S
Longitude:173 32′ E
Course: 180t
Speed: 6.8 knots
Wind Speed: 6 kts
Wind Direction: SW t

Motoring, hard to call it motorsailing even though the full main is up ’cause there is almost no wind. Forecast to remain this way until tomorrow morning when the winds will pick up out of the Southwest. We are aiming for about half way between North Cape and the Bay of Islands to give us some room to make easting on the SW winds for a nice sail into the BoI.

Anticipate (eagerly) arrival at Opua Q-dock (quarantine for Customs/Immigration clearance) sometime on Monday evening so will remain overnight on Q until we clear in on Tuesday morning. Eager to see friends and be back on land, in the land of the Long White Cloud 🙂

Cheers!

Fran & Richard

PS Our trusty Family Truckster, “Woody”, is freshly WoFed* and ready for us to pick up at our wonderful friends the MacMillians. We are looking forward to the winding roads of New Zealand and lots of friends, sheep other animals (that don’t frequent bars, oh well, those too). R&F
